Personalized Snowman Fleece Hat
I just found a great idea on Family Fun's website. It is a fleece snowman hat for kids. I made one for Alexa this morning and decided it needed to be personalized. Now, I have 21 more hats to make and personalize for her classroom by Tuesday. I will post photos after they are completed.

1st Blog
Well, I am going to try this:) Writing is not normally my forte. Welcome to my blog! Last year, Ashley and I found a great deal on an embroidery machine. We got to work right away creating personalized snowmen. We saw similar ones at a craft show. We decided we needed to change a few things with our ornaments and market them differently. Ashley creates all of the faces, Alexa helps create the noses, and I am currently the one putting them together.
During one of my sleepless nights in the summer, I saw the Cricut on an infomercial. I knew a couple of friends who use the Cricut for scrapbooking. Been there, done that. Scrapbooking lasted through two pages of my son's scrapbook. Going on 17 and the poor kid only has a scrapbook Grandma has made. I have 1 1/2 years to transfer all of my photos to Snapfish. Then, I can have them create the scrapbooks for me:) Anyhoo, back to the Cricut. I was fascinated with the idea that I could make so many things using vinyl. So, in August I drove to the Detroit area in search of the then hard to find pink Cricut. After MANY hours on the Cricut forums, I have become more comfortable with my machine. I can't wait to make other items.
Last week, I had our first craft show. Ash wasn't able to attend due to a Student Council event. I was extremely nervous at first. However, it was a great day! I can't wait to apply to other craft shows. I am sure Brad is happy that I am trying to earn back some of the money I have spent on this new hobby:)
